The Great Adventure On track with Jesus A Camping Experience for Boys Grades 1-12 June 15-19, 2009 Sponsored by Royal Ambassadors & Challengers |
Camp starts Monday. Registration is Monday afternoon 3:30pm - 5:30pm in the Angel Conference Center. If you have not sent in your registration information to Camp Copass bring it with you Monday - check below for details. Also make sure that you bring me your detail information - names, grades, sizes, and birthdates. There are a few changes on the schedule this year - make sure you check those out - see Program page. Each church needs to send your camp registration information and deposit to Camp Copass as soon as possible. Go to the Camp Copass website for contact information and forms - the link is located in the upper left on this page. The detail list including all boys’ and sponsors’ names, grades just completed, and T-shirt sizes needs to be sent to me via e-mail, fax or snail mail. This will help us set up the Age Groups and plan the activity schedule. The initial T-shirt order will be sent Monday, June 1, 2009. We will send another order after registration on Monday evening, June 15, for delivery by Thursday before the end of camp. E-mail me or call me (940-627-9871) with any questions you may have. For more information e-mail Stanley Smith or Randy Cross. This year Camp Copass Boys Camp is being held the same week as Camp Copass Girls Camp. The dates are June 15-19, 2009. This will give churches and families more options on what camps their children can attend together. Those of you that are involved in planning summer activities for children should look at the possibility of sending both your girls and boys to camps that are missions oriented and are the same week. This gives you the opportunity to recruit sponsors from the same families - mothers and fathers, husbands and wives. Can you imagine having entire families at camp learning about missions and exploring how to be on-mission with God? This will also allow you to schedule a camp for both girls and boys at the beginning of the summer so your families have time for their own plans and it only takes up one of their summer weeks. Or maybe it will just give an overworked mom and dad some relief from their just out of school and bored children for 4 days. We have also been assured by Camp Copass Management that the Girls and Boys Camps are the only camps scheduled for this week. There will not be 3-4 other camps going on during the week with totally different emphasis and activities. It is usually a little cooler during June - certainly will help with all the outdoor activities we have planned. The camps will be totally separate - the only shared activities will be mealtimes. We will still have the same emphasis, schedule and activities we have been used to having.
